Jim Glover

Today on Radioactivity Rob Lorei interviews a real life character in the film Inside Llewyn Davis. Llewyn Davis is loosely based on folk singer Dave Van Ronk. The character is depicted with a couple called "Jim and Jean" performing at a club called The Gaslight in lower Manhattan. Although the directors of the film (the Coen Brothers) say the characters in the film are fictitious, there really was a Jim and Jean who recorded four albums and were active in the Village folk scene in the 1960's. Jim now lives here in the Tampa Bay area. Jim Glover, portrayed by Justin Timberlake in the film, talks with Rob about the Greenwich Village folk scene in 1961.

The film title is listed incorrectly here. It's "Inside Llewyn Davis" without the "and". I hope to see the movie soon. Rob, you did a great job with the interview, and the music clips were awesome.

Thank you for having my Friend Jim on,,,He is very devoted to the causes of PEACE and JUSTICE,,,and ALWAYS has been,,,Thanks again,,,The Psychic Cowboy

I have been thinking, if I could do it over again I should have called the Secret Service as soon as Phil Ochs told me there was a plot to Kill President Kennedy.

I should have called the White House first of all.

Excellent interview Jim. I greatly enjoyed hearing your music again. Keep working for peace.

Jim, just listened to your cover of Phil's "Crucifixtion". I love the dynamics and how it builds. Beautifully done!
