Nancy Hogshead-Makar is one of the foremost exponents of gender equity in education, including sports participation, sexual harassment, employment, pregnancy and legal enforcement under Title IX of the Education Amendments of 1972. Nancy is a three time Olympic gold medalist and is a member of 11 Halls of fame including the International women's Sports Hall of Fame and the International Swimming Hall of Fame.
She received her law degree from Georgetown University after completing her athletic career and is the Senior Director of Advocacy for the Women's Sports Foundation and is a tenured Professor of Law at the Florida Coastal School of law. She talked about the history of and the present status of Title IX.
