One of the CCTV cameras (corner of Tyler St and N Ashley Dr) has water droplets and dew collecting on the clear enclosure.
In less than two weeks the Republican National Convention kicks off in Tampa, and Big Brother will be watching.
Today on Last Call we talked with Jon Gales about the new closed-circuit surveillance cameras installed in Tampa for the convention. He has a new website called RNCCTV.com. It has a map of the location of dozens of the cameras.
We talked about why they are there and whether they might come down after the convention.
I invited the Tampa Police Department on the show but they declined, saying people could ask questions at Mayor Bob Buckhorn's town hall meetings on the Republican convention.

multiplying this app elsewhere? This is beautiful! I wonder if this app could be fitted and modeled for other cities which host permanent civilian spy-cams.
