Even though most citizens dutifully pay their taxesâ€”itâ€™s not enough. For the past several years governments at all levels have been cutting budgetsâ€”laying off workers and reducing services and pay.
At the same time we are told that the federal governmentâ€™s debt has reached crisis proportionsâ€”and even more needs to be done.
Meantime- multibillion-dollar American corporations such as Exxon, Google and Bank of America are making record profits. And as our next guests tell usâ€”these corporations are concealing many of those colossal profits overseas to avoid paying US income taxes.
