Radioactivity: Live Call-In (Monday) | Listen to this entire show:
Good afternoon, welcome to The last Call. I'm Rob Lorei. Duke Energy earlier this month announced it would abandon plans to build new reactors at a proposed plant in Levy County. That move followed a decision earlier this year to decommission the Crystal River 3 reactor rather than fix containment building concrete delamination stemming from a steam generator replacement in 2009. The Tampa Bay Times estimates the cost of these two decisions to customers is $5 Billion. In addition the Fukushima disaster in Japan seems to get worse by the day. Here to talk about all this is author and activist Harvey Wasserman. Wasserman edits Nuke Free; he's the author of SOLARTOPIA and hHis Solartopia Green Power & Wellness Show is at www.prn.fm.
