This afternoon at the Federal courthouse in downtown Tampa the preparations for the case against Sami al-arian, and three other associated defendants, moved into the jury selection stage.

A new report released today by the nonpartisan National Parks Conservation Association says that funding for AmericaÃ¢â¬â¢s national parks is at a Ã¢â¬ËbearÃ¢â¬â¢ minimum and lists the top 10 reasons parks need more money. The report calls for and has received immediate support from CongressÃ¢â¬Â¦as a bi-partisan group of Congress introduced new legislation today to fund AmericaÃ¢â¬â¢s National Parks.

After the Pentagon halted Navy Operations at Vieques in Puerto Rico in 2002, Pentagon officials said that military use at Avon Park could increase.

THE VIEW FROM CANADA with Tom Philp, a special assistant to Paul Macklin an MP and leader in the Labor Party in Tampa. Macklin is a leader in the effort to legalize same sex marriage and to decriminalize marijuana. Philp spoke of the progress of those efforts.
