After years of plans and discussions, the Tampa City Council is poised to approve a plan that will soon allow for the beginning of construction of a new Art Museum that, once completed, would make it one of the largest of its types in the country.

The Florida state board of education held their monthly meeting today in Tampa; school board chairman Phil handy said that some of the challenges facing the board in 2005 will be hiring 30 thousand new teachers needed by august, trying to stop social promotion, work to meet the demands of the classsize amendment, and wait for the results of a lawsuit against school choice that is currently before the US supreme court.

Today Wal-Mart unveiled a nationwide public relations campaign to try and help fight back against the bad publicity theyÃ¢â¬â¢ve been receiving from the hundreds of communities around the country.
