This morning at the Tampa City Council, Police Chief Stephen Hogue and City Attorney David Smith addressed growing concerns about violence in Ybor City.
In the past few weeks, Tampa Police have singled out one particular club that caters to teenagers, known as Club Bling. They say that the 2 to 300 teens have created trouble on Saturday nights in Ybor.

This morning the St. Pete Times reported that while Governor Jeb Bush, Secretary of State Glenda Hood, and other Republican officials have been dismissing criticism about the lack of a paper trail for touch screen voting machines, Republicans in Miami-Dade County apparently have the same fear that there could be problems with those machines at the polls this November.

County Commmisioner Criticizes Bush Economic Policy in relation to outsourcing of Bay Area Jobs - Mitch Perry07/28/04
Last week, the Credit Card Company Capital One announced last week that it was shutting down its call center in Tampa, eliminating 1,100 jobs and delivering a serious blow to efforts to upgrade the Bay Area's economic base.
Employees were informed that their jobs would be sent overseas, but the company has not said where they will be outsourced to.
Outsourcing has become an issue in this year's Presidential Election, and today
