Tomorrow in Tampa a demonstration is being held against the new Cuba travel restrictions imposed by the Bush Administration on June 30th.
The new rules forbid Cuban-Americans from items, such as clothes, personal hygiene items, seeds, fishing supplies, soap-making equipment and veterinary medicines to their family members in Cuba. The Tampa City Council met for the first time in 3 weeks today.....As the Council's Meeting room is being remodeled, today's meeting was held at the Tampa Convention Center, which is where the next several meetings will take place as well.

A survey of 800 Florida state residents finds that 81 percent of likely voters are in favor of renewing the national assault weapons ban, and 80 percent of FloridaÃ¢â¬â¢s likely voters favor strengthening the ban to include new assault weapons that have been created since the ban was instituted in 1994.
