Mario Cuomo is the former governor of new york and for decades he has been a organizer and behind the scenes strategist of the democratic party. WMNF spoke with Cuomo last week about how the republican party has skirted discussion of some of the issues in the years campaigns by appealing to voters fears and emotions.

When FloridaÃ¢â¬â¢s voters approved Amendment 1 this part Tuesday, it set the state in motion to be come one of more than 30 states which require parents be notified before their daughter can have an abortion. Legislators will have to write a bill very carefully to pass constitutional muster.
