VETERANS AGAINST THE CURRENT WAR IN IRAQ

In a letter delivered today to President Bush, U.S. war veterans declare their belief that U.S. Iraq policy is "headed in the wrong direction." The veterans observe: "At present, U.S. soldiers are falling under attack an average of 35 times each day. To date, 394 U.S. soldiers have been killed in the war. Their lives are being lost for a policy that is unclear and an exit strategy that remains unknown."

FREE TRADE RALLY

John Howes of the Green Party, spoken word activist Empress Carrins and Chris Kern of AFSCME join Rob to discuss a rally and march on Saturday, November 15 from noon-3PM at Williams Park in downtown St. Petersburg. Activist, Starhawk will be the keynote speaker. The rally is to prepare for the November 20-21 Free Trade Area of the Americas (FTAA) meeting in Miami.

MEDICARE RX BILL

Rob is joined by Phil Compton of the Florida Consumer Action Network (FCAN), and Alan Sager, co-director of the Health Reform Program at Boston University's School of Public Health in a discussion about the Medicare Rx Drug bill in Congress. The bill would make a number of changes - including higher costs, ending Medicare Guarantee and beginning privitization.

HOWARD DEAN - Kim Farley

Last night Howard Dean supporters staged flash mobs around the country. On three street corners in Pinellas County, Dean supporters held signs proclaiming Howard Dean as the one to vote for in the next presidential election. WMNF’s Kim Farley reports.

FIRST TIME HOMEBUYERS
