Some employers won’t have to provide birth control for employees through coverage in their health plans. A landmark U.S. Supreme Court ruling Monday sided with the retail chain Hobby Lobby that argued they shouldn’t have to pay for contraceptives. Stetson University College of Law professor Ciara Torres-Spelliscy called the case another corporate person-hood issue.

A conservative Christian group is asking church leaders to ramp up political advocacy. During one of several statewide “rallies” on Tuesday in Tampa, leaders with the Who Will Stand campaign showed a video telling pastors it’s OK to talk politics.

“Not one single church has ever in the history of America lost its tax exempt status for either endorsing or opposing a particular candidate or endorsing or opposing legislation or lobbying. Not one in America.”

A town in upstate New York will be allowed to continue its longtime practice of praying before government meetings after a divided U.S. Supreme Court ruling Monday. An atheist group has rented a billboard in Tampa during next week's Republican convention.

The Freedom From Religion Foundation wants to tell visiting delegates to keep religion out of politics. In a press release they say the billboard will be displayed beginning today on Kennedy Boulevard west of Arrawana Street. It says "God fixation won't fix this nation."
