Wednesday the Hillsborough County Commission put aside a suggestion to organize gun buy-back programs to reduce crime. But the idea may come back as soon as next month among the suggestions for a task force to reduce gun violence. Commissioner Kevin Beckner recommended forming a task force â it was unanimously approved by the board.

In the wake of the latest gun-shooting massacre in America, lawmakers are talking for the first time in years about seriously trying to pass gun-control measures.
Earlier this year the Law Center to Prevent Gun Violence released a report grading each individual state in terms of its gun control laws, and matching statistics to how many deaths occur in the states due to gun violence.
