NBC Sports will be broadcasting the Super Bowl this Sunday from Tampa.
Along with the familiar voices of Al Michaels, John Madden, and Bob Costas will be sideline reporter Andrea Kremer.
Earlier this week, WMNF spoke with Kremer, who worked at ESPN for 17 years before becoming part of NBC’s Sunday Night telecasts in 2006. We asked if she enjoys her job, which sometimes doesn’t get a whole lot of respect from viewers and critics.

After striking out on a deal that might have brought the Boston Red Sox to Sarasota to play their spring training games, public officials now have their eyes on wooing the Baltimore Orioles to the area.
The Sarasota County Commission today approved a plan to continue discussions to potentially increase a tourist tax -- levied on hotel rooms and condo rentals up to six months -- to 4 percent from 3 percent, reserving half those revenues for a stadium project.

After month of negotiations, the city and county of Sarasota announced in a joint press release this morning that negotiations with the Boston Red Sox to play their spring training games in town was over.
The news stunned some observers, including some County Commissioners.

The debate over whether the Cincinnati Reds will continue to train in Sarasota Took another turn yesterday when Sarasota County Commissioners voted to offer $17.6-million toward the renovation of Ed Smith Stadium.
