Rio, Girls on Film is a four-piece female new wave band from Tallahassee. Girls on Film will be part of Synthetic Pleasures concert for WMNF, a night of electro beats, old wave synths and glamtronic noise at 9 p.m. March 27 at the Orpheum, 1902 Republica de Cuba, Ybor.

Rock superstar Bruce Springsteen gave his first formal press conference in 20 years this afternoon.
The New Jersey rocker is in Tampa, where he’ll be performing in front of a huge worldwide television audience this Sunday night at halftime of the Super Bowl.
