Tomorrow night (9/30; 6PM) at the University Area Community Development Center 914013 N 22nd St. Tampa) there will be a forum on proposed Amendments 5 and 6 to the Florida Constitution. The amendments are designed to take some of the politics out of the process of drawing congressional and legislative districts. Last night, the Hillsborough County Planning Commission held a public workshop on City Council redistricting in East Tampa. The purpose of the workshop was to give citizens the opportunity to analyze five newly proposed re-drawn city districts and engage public opinion.
