Presidential primaries are being held tonight in Virginia, Maryland and the District of Columbia. Preliminary polls show Barack Obama has a good chance of winning D.C. and Maryland, while some say the Virginia race could be closer than expected.
IF Obama were to be run the table tonight, it would mark a string of primary and caucus wins for him. Wisconsin and Hawaii vote next week.

Former Hillsborough County Commissioner Phyllis Busansky today announced her candidacy for Elections Supervisor.
Busansky is the best known opponent that incumbent Buddy Johnson will have faced, if she gets the Democratic nomination. Lee Nelson has previously announced his candidacy.

While Hillary Clinton was taking some of the biggest states in the country last night, Barack Obama was quietly racking up caucuses throughout the country, some by large margins. In North Dakota, he beat the New York senator by a 61 to 35 percent margin.
