Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr. Day on WMNF!

First we talked with a local community organizer with the Service International Union. Kofi Hunt talked about his community efforts in Pinellas County and about what Dr. King has meant to him. Next, we had Chioke Lanson, a philosopher and radio producer, currently teaching philosophy at Spelman College in Atlanta. His main area of study is humanitarianism. He has been to Africa multiple times studying the activity of NGOs; in his travels and his studies he has come across the problem of sustainability and wonders if it is as confusing to everyone else as it is to him.

The entire broadcast day of WMNF on Martin Luther King Day, made me proud to be a listener/supporter of WMNF Community Radio. The speeches, the discussions, the selection of music throughout the day, brought Dr. King's Spirit to life. Thanks
