Good morning, welcome to Radioactivity. Our guest today is George Lakoff, who is a Professor of Cognitive Science and Linguistics at UC Berkeley. He's the author of the best selling book DON'T THINK OF AN ELEPHANT. In his new book THE LITTLE BLUE BOOK: The Essential Guide to Thinking and Talking Democratic he offers some advice to progressives about framing their issues. He says Democrats too often fail to use language to link their moral values with their policies. The book offers some ways progressives can create their own frames and stop mimicking conservative talking points. He joins us live.
