The news media sometimes covers issues of race -- but a recent book looks at whether that coverage can actually hurt race relations.

WMNF's Christopher Davis interviewed Tampa Bay Times media critic, Eric Deggans, after a community conversation on the topic last night at the Poynter Institute in St. Petersburg. Deggans' book is called Race Baiter: How the Media Wields Dangerous Words to Divide a Nation.
