From A Woman's Point of View | Listen to this entire show:

Sheila Bapat is an attorney and writer covering parity in the work force, politics, gender discrimination and reproductive law and policy. She writes a weekly column on the web site rh reality check (rhrealitycheck.org). In the second debate of the Presidential candidates, a woman in the audience asked the candidates what they would do about the 77 cents to the dollar wage discrepancy for women's salaries. Neither Sheila or I thought the answer was satisfactory or even specific to the question. Sheila discussed the many economic issues that are so critical for women today such as paycheck fairness, maternity leave, the difficulties women are having finding affordable day care for their children. Sadly these issues are not being discussed by most of the candidates or the media. Sheila urged listeners to become informed and keep these issues.in the discussions. go to articles by Sheila Bapat on rhrealitycheck.org
