Some Tampa Bay residents eligible for federal disaster assistance listen

The National Weather Service Tampa Bay reported strong thunderstorms in Pasco, Hernando and Hillsborough counties today with gusty winds and even public sightings of a funnel cloud near Thonotosassa. Pasco is under a flood warning.

Today’s storms only contribute to the problems that began with Tropical Storm Debby. Renee Bafalis is a public information officer with FEMA. She says some Tampa Bay area residents are eligible to receive federal disaster assistance.
