Good morning, welcome to Radioactivity. I’m Rob Lorei. Coming up today we’ll talk with Current TV reporter David Shuster about this week’s anniversary of Medicare. It’s become a huge issue in Washington- with some in Congress wanting to change Medicare into a voucher program…..

Later we’ll talk with the leader of a local veterans group and get his views on the visit this week to Tampa by three US senators- including John McCain who were warning that military spending cuts will affect jobs here in Florida……

First up- David Shuster is an Emmy award winning reporter , a correspondent for Current TV and formerly worked for MSNBC and Fox News. He also hosts a radio program in Washington, DC.

Next we'll talk with Gene Jones of Florida Veterans for Common Sense about the town hall meeting this week in which three Republican U.S. senators warned that the military would be hurt by the upcoming budget cuts under sequestration.
