"Hitting the snooze button on the alarm clock" is how author Richard Heinberg describes the debt ceiling deal reached in Washington last week. In his new book The End of Growth, Heinberg asserts that economic growth as we have known it is over and done with and the global economy is inevitably contracting rather than expanding. WMNF's Kelly Benjamin spoke to Heinberg recently on how he comes to this conclusion and why the end of growth and learning to live within our ecological limits might actually be a good thing...

The End of GrowthInterviews like the one Kelly Benjamin did with Heinberg help to break the collective trance and awaken more people to the realities of the end of growth and "the birth of a new world" as Paul Gilding states. Good work!!
