Good morning, welcome to WMNF's Radioactivity. I’m Rob Lorei. Coming up on the first part of today’s program we’ll talk about the effort to legalize medical marijuana in Florida. But first- one listener comment about the Jimmy Dore comedy show- which we featured on Tuesday.

Tape….

There’s an effort to put a ballot question before Florida voters this November. It’s a proposed constitutional amendment that would legalize marijuana for medical purposes. But before Florida voters have their say the amendment faces two hurdles. It must collect enough valid signatures of Florida voters – 700,000 by February 1st- and the language of the amendment must be okayed by the Florida Supreme Court.

Joining us now is the Campaign Manager of United for Care- Ben Pollara- his group is the one trying to get the medical marijuana issue on the ballot this November…..
