Radioactivity: Live Call-In (Thursday) | Listen to this entire show:
Good morning, welcome to Radioactivity. I'm Rob Lorei. Coming up we'll talk with Lou Brown of the St. Petersburg NAACP and Rick Smith of the Florida Public Services Union. They and a coalition of other groups are involved in opening up the St. Petersburg city budget process to more residents. To that end they are asking residents to fill out surveys that help identify what spending priorities they value most. The People's Budget Review. And later we'll talk with Arthur Hayhoe who is executive director of the Florida Coalition to Stop Gun Violence on the question of Florida's Stand Your Ground law and how it's been used to justify recent killings around the state. Some are saying that the killing of 17 year old Trayvon Martin in Sanford shows that law enforcement is reluctant to prosecute people who kill because of the Stand Your Ground law.
