Good morning, welcome to radioactivity. I'm Rob Lorei. In recent years there's been a move by local governments to install red light cameras in order to improve safety at intersections. Our guest today, Etienne Pracht, PhD is part of a research team at the USF College of Public Health which has studied red light cameras. Their studies conclude that the cameras do little to promote safer intersections. And that there are other, cheaper ways to reduce crashes at dangerous intersections.
