Last week the non profit Center for Media and Democracy (CMD) made public available over 800 “model” bills and resolutions secretly voted on by corporate and legislative members of the American Legislative Exchange Council (ALEC). The bills were provided to state legislatures as a way to advance the agenda of corporations- including giant oil, tobacco, railroad and chemical companies.
