Hillsborough Democratic Chair Kemp to run for State seat listen

The Chair of the Democratic Party of Hillsborough County will be temporarily stepping down in order to run for State Legislature. Patricia Kemp announced today she will run for the seat held by Michael Scionti, who is stepping down to take a Department of Defense position in the Obama administration. According to the Hillsborough County Supervisor of Elections, three other candidates have filed to run for the special primary election on January 26th. WMNF spoke with Kemp this afternoon.
