Protesters in Tampa are calling for an end to tax loopholes for corporations. Tuesday afternoon a group organized by groups including Awake Tampa marched from downtown’s Curtis Hixon Waterfront Park to the Bank of America building. Thee protesters want the wealthy to pay more in taxes.

In an attempt to build support for President- elect Barack Obama’s economic stimulus plan, a handful of local MoveOn.org members met Sunday in Pinellas Park to watch an instructional video on how to practice successful tactics for influencing their elected officials. Across the country today, the political activist group MoveOn held 150 rallies for clean energy.
