The website where consumers can enroll in federally subsidized health plans has been plagued by glitches since the Health Insurance Marketplace opened last week. During a panel discussion at the USF Center for Advanced Medical Learning and Simulation (CAMLS) Tuesday, U.S. Secretary of Health and Human Services Kathleen Sebelius said the problems should be worked out soon.

Small businesses will also be able to choose more competitive policies for their employees starting in November. The Federal Health Insurance Marketplace will open for consumers on Tuesday. A report released by the U.S. department of Health and Human Services released yesterday showed that rates in Florida and across the country will be lower than expected. Here, a 27-year-old individual earning $25,000 a year would pay less than $100 a month after tax credits for a policy. Still, the 3-year-old law is being complicated by a wealth of misinformation.
