On this International Women’s Day we take a look at a growing and controversial grassroots movement. Last month in Sarasota, two women and a deacon were ordained as priests by a group known as Roman Catholic Womenpriests or RCWP, which seeks to abolish discrimination against women within the Catholic Church. Their activism comes at the price of excommunication from the Vatican which sees the movement as renegade.
