As part of a series of nationwide protests, over one hundred concerned citizens lined the east and westbound lanes of Columbus Drive, outside of the Tampa IRS building this afternoon. Local conservative organizations stood with signs and megaphones calling on the federal government to hold the IRS accountable.

Seven Tampa residents lined up in Tampa City Council Chambers Thursday to speak in support of a proposed noise ordinance. The ordinance passed its first reading and would enforce “steep” punishments for drivers who blast car stereos.

On Wednesday night in downtown Tampa, 15 people lit candles and shared stories about Boston.
Underneath a flag at half-mast in front of the federal courthouse, organizers led prayers for the victims of Monday's Boston Marathon terror attack.
It was billed as "Praying for Boston, Interfaith Vigil."

There’s a fight to save a historic skateboard bowl in downtown Tampa from encroaching development.
During public comment at this morning’s Tampa City Council meeting, Shannon Bruffett, a representative from the Skateboarding Heritage Foundation asked council to protect what’s known as the Bro Bowl in Perry Harvey Park.
