In it, Yalom, an emeritus professor of psychiatry at the Stanford University School of Medicine, confronts the demanding challenge that everybody faces: overcoming the terror of death.

Irvin Yalom is a professor of Psychiatry at Stanford University and the author of the new book, Staring At the Sun: Overcoming the Terror of Death.

In the book, Yalom writes about "the refusing of the loan of life, to avoid the debt of death.”
