Reverend Bruce Wright is a local activist for the rights of homeless individuals, with the Poor Peoples’ Economic Human Rights Campaign and Refuge Ministries. Wright is in Pittsburgh, the site of the G-20 summit. WMNF spoke with him today.

President Barack Obama arrived in Pittsburgh this afternoon for the G20 summit. But minutes before Air Force One landed, police in the city began throwing canisters of tear gas and sound bombs at demonstrators.
The marchers chose to not get a city permit; therefore police have declared the march an “unlawful assembly.”
Police used a loudspeaker to play an announcement telling people to disburse or they would face arrest or "other police action," according to the Associated Press.

He's active on homeless issues and this weekend he's planning to travel to the G-20 Summit meeting in Pittsburgh. Wright says among the people traveling with him will be several members of the local homeless community.
