This week activists fed up with Florida's "stand your ground" gun law rallied in the state capitol, Tallahassee. The Dream Defenders is a group mostly made up of youth of color formed shortly after George Zimmerman was found not guilty of shooting and killing Trayvon Martin.

Prosecutors gave opening statements Thursday in the trial of a white man who is charged with the shooting death of a black teenager during an argument over loud music in Jacksonville. Yesterday twelve jurors and four alternates were selected for the trial of Michael Dunn for the killing of Jordan Davis.

The trial is drawing comparisons to George Zimmerman’s trial for killing Trayvon Martin because of race and Florida’s Stand Your Ground law.

Friday the Pasco Sheriff's Office released audio of the 911 call from last week's shooting at a Wesley Chapel movie theater in which Chad Oulson was killed.

During the call the 911 operator attempts to notify the Sheriff's Office to tell them that there has been a shooting, but there is no answer for one minute and 40 seconds. Ringing can be heard on the 911 recording from 1:14 into the recording until the call is answered at 2:54.

A 43-year old man is dead after an argument over texting in a Wesley Chapel movie theater.

71-year old Curtis Reeves, a retired Tampa cop, pulled the trigger.

Reports in the days since the shooting have suggested Reeves may have a personality disorder. There is also speculation that the shooter may use the state's Stand Your Ground law as a possible defense. Reeves has said he felt threatened.

Red light cameras are popping up all over the Tampa Bay area, but not in unincorporated Pinellas County. During a Suncoast Tiger Bay Club luncheon Wednesday, Sheriff Bob Gualtieri explained why.
