We started today's show with Drew Bartlett with the Florida Department of Environmental Protection, about algae in the Santa Fe River in North Florida. There is a growing problem with nitrogen in our aquifer that will not be easily fixed. Septic systems, fertilizer run off, storm water run-off and agriculture all contribute to the problem. Florida has some extra money to address the problem, but for now visiting your favorite spring this summer may be a little slimy.
