David Kessler is a professor at the University of California at San Francisco School of Medicine. He was also the commissioner for the Food & Drug Administration from 1990 to 1997 for Presidents George H.W. Bush and Bill Clinton.

He’s also the author of the new book, The End of Overeating: Taking Control of the Insatiable American Appetite, in which he tries to answer the question about why Americans overindulge and what they can do about it.
