The general manager of WMNF for the last two years is no longer with the station. WMNF board of directors president Nancy Johnson made the announcement today in an email. In an interview WMNF News asked her about it.

An institution in Tampa’s urban radio landscape is no more. WTMP, which airs R&B on 96.1 FM and 1150 AM is changing its format. One programmer who was laid off when they switched to automated programming this week is Jarvis El-Amin. He hosted a community talk show called Honest Opinion and says he’s not sure what type of programming will be next.
