A new ABC/Washington Post survey shows that a majority of Americans support health care reform, yet are suspicious of its impact.
The poll shows that 62 percent support a government funded entity to offer health insurance to those who don’t get it elsewhere- but if that were to cause private insurers to go out of business, as critics charge, support plummets to 37 percent.

A leading Senate Democrat yesterday said President Barack Obama may not have enough support in the Senate for an overhaul of the nation’s health care system.

The average U.S. family and their employers paid an extra $1,017 in health care premiums last year to compensate for the uninsured, according to a study released today by an advocacy group for health care consumers.
