The Florida Panhandle and Alabama Gulf Coast are being hit with widespread flooding, the latest blow from a dayslong chain of severe weather across the South and Midwest.
Florida Governor Rick Scott declared a state of emergency Wednesday over 26 counties.
Over the past four days, storms hit especially hard in places such as Arkansas' northern Little Rock suburbs and the Mississippi cities of Louisville and Tupelo.
At least 37 deaths have been reported.

West Central Florida remains under a Tropical Storm Warning and Tornado Watch as Tropical Storm Debby hovers in the Gulf of Mexico. It continues to produce bands of strong storms like the ones that spawned tornadoes and flooding yesterday in the Tampa Bay region. This morning Tampa Mayor Bob Buckhorn said residents should still be careful of flooded roads.
