Today Hillsborough County Commission approved a series of government incentives to private businesses if they create new jobs in the county. One company is called Digital Risk. Theyâre expected to create 1000 new jobs in Florida and 100 to 600 of them could be in Hillsborough. Ron Barton, Hillsboroughâs director of economic development, said the county agreed to pay Digital Risk a base of $1000 per job plus what are called local bonuses.

After Florida Governor Rick Scott's budget presentation Wednesday afternoon, he took questions from reporters. Even from Comedy Centralâs Aasif Mandvi, a correspondent from The Daily Show with Jon Stewart. Mandvi took aim at the new Florida law supported by Governor Scott that requires drug tests for low-income people applying for government assistance. He asked the governor for a urine sample.

One of the accomplishments that Rudy Guiliani boasts of on the campaign trail is how he was able to move so many people off the welfare rolls in New York as mayor in the 1990s. But as the 2006 documentary, Guiliani Time depicts, it came at a huge cost to many of those people who were on welfare.
