The Willa Carson Health and Wellness Center (WCHAWC), a free clinic located in the heart of Clearwater, is a source for better health delivering non-emergent basic, high-quality medical services in a friendly caring environment to the uninsured and low-income. The Center serves all of Pinellas County with North Greenwood being our primary focus. The Willa Carson Health and Wellness Center provides a unique array of free quality health services, including preventative healthcare, wellness and education programs directed towards achieving holistic health - encompassing the mind, body and spirit for all. Our community outreach and wellness education programs are made possible through the generosity and commitment of physicians, nurses, healthcare and skilled professionals who kindly donate their services. These programs enable our patients to lead more informed and dynamic lives, which has a positive effect on their families, friends and the surrounding community.
The Womens Resource Center of Sarasota County has been enriching the lives of women through education and empowerment since 1979. The not-for-profit agency provides women with life skills training, career planning and educational scholarships in Sarasota County. The mission of the organization is to create personal, social and professional growth opportunities to women by providing strategies that strengthen them, their families and their communities.
The mission of the Dr. Carter G. Woodson African American Museum is two-fold: 1.
