My guest on "Talking Animals" Nov. 11, at 11:30am, will be JONATHAN SAFRAN FOER, the acclaimed young novelist whose new non-fiction book, "Eating Animals," while only officially out as of Tuesday (Nov. 2), has already generated tremendous attention, discussion and coverage across all forms of media and the blogosphere.

Spurred by impending fatherhood, the 31-year-old Foer chronicles his own personal gastronomic journey over the years--particularly as it pertains to various periods of vegetarianism, others of meat eating--examining the moral, environmental, medical and other implications of eating animals, drawing on scientific research, a cross-section of books and published papers, and forays to factory farming operations and other facilities.
