World-Renowned Zoologist Rabinowitz on Talking Animals
Talking Animals Aug 11 2010 11:30AM Add to Calendar
My guest on Talking Animals August 11 at 11:30am will be ALAN RABINOWITZ, a world-renowned zoologist, conservationist and field biologist--the "Indiana Jones Of Wildlife"--who, in the course of his career has discovered four new species of mammals.
Alan grew up with a severe stutter. Indeed, he's the man whose childhood-isolation-as-a-severe-stutterer-taking-refuge-with-animals-now-worldclass-zooloist saga nearly brought Stephen Colbert to tears when he was on "The Report" a coupla years ago.
His latest book, "Life In The Valley Of Death: The Fight To Save Tigers In A Land Of Guns, Gold And Greed" will be issued in paperback Sept. 7.
Dr. Rabinowitz will speak with us live, and listeners can participate in the conversation by calling 813-239-9663 or e-mailing DJ@wmnf.org.
