Jethro Tull's Ian Anderson on Sonic Detour
Dec 12 2007 16:00
Partly tied to Jethro Tull's concert Dec. 12 at Ruth Eckerd Hall--and the band's recent releases: "The Best Of Acoustic Jethro Tull" & "Live At Montreux 2003"-- Sonic Detour host Duncan Strauss recently recorded an interview with Tull singer-songwriter-guitarist-flute player IAN ANDERSON.
The interview quickly evolved into a freewheeling conversation that touched on everything and everyone from Luciano Pavarotti and John McEnroe and Bob Dylan, to why he still tours extensively nearly 40 years after launching Jethro Tull, and a host of laudatory things about Led Zeppelin, which Anderson considers, hands down, "the world's greatest rock band." This interview will air on the Dec. 12 Sonic Detour, sometime between 4 and 6 p.m.
