Sonic Detour Wednesday

Wednesday 4:00PM - 6:00PM

Please join me as I embark each Wednesday on a musical journey not entirely unlike that pursued by Flee, Amy, Nell & The Rebel (did you know there's a "Sonic Detour Mix" we all ostensibly aim for?), traversing all sorts of genres, blending new music with old, and I typically include some covers as well as a comedy snippet or two.

Plus, the show is laced with the Hightower Report, headlines from NPR and the WMNF news team, traffic reports each half hour, CD and ticket giveaways, and more. And we're fortunate enough to have WMNF's local music maven, Bev Capshaw, deliver a segment each Wednesday, just after 5pm, spotlighting a local artist. We also now have the supreme privilege of airing recently-recorded local StoryCorps segments we're calling "Community Voices"--you can hear those each show, some time after 5:30pm.

I periodically contribute to a terrific music blog, and I also host "Talking Animals," a program about animals & animal issues that airs on WMNF the first two Wednesdays of each month at 11:30am. .
