Queer Muslims exist; what’s it like to be LGBTQ and Muslim in the United States — and especially in Florida?

Since a Muslim man — who  may have been gay and in the closet — killed 49 people at a gay nightclub in Orlando, there’s been renewed discussion of how LGBT people are viewed by Islam.

WMNF News interviewed a local activist who agreed to the interview only on the condition that she not be identified and that her voice be slightly altered.
