Daytime Public Affairs Shift Board Operator

The Board Operator operates the air studio during WMNF's 10 a.m.-1 p.m. syndicated public affairs shows. The Board Op airs pre-recorded shows and provides all local announcing, station ID and station promotional breaks. They answer listener phone calls and emails, take transmitter readings and occasionally engineer a live weekly call-in show. Professional Opportunities: On-air announcing, air studio board operation, radio writing, experience working with broadcast clocks and working to deadline. Necessary skills: Basic computer skills, good organizational skills, comfortable speaking on the air.
