Tonight is the longest night of the year, the winter solstice—to coincide wit the long night, today is national Homeless persons Memorial Day. Citizens around the country held memorial services to remember the thousands of homeless people who die every year in the United States. Rayme Knuckles works at the Hillsborough county Homeless Coalition, he helped organize a ceremony across from the County center in Downtown Tampa this afternoon.

HOMELESS DAY

That was Rayme Knuckles with the Hillsborough county Homeless Coalition. There is a candlelight vigil taking place tonight in Sarasota at 6pm, at the salvation Army Center of Hope on 10th st.
